چکیده

An effective, probe-compensated, phaseless Near-Field-Far-Field (NF–FF) transformation technique with planar spiral scanning is presented. The phase retrieval problem solved by a quadratic inverse process, whose data are the voltage squared amplitudes of NF samples acquired on two surfaces. available information antenna under test and geometry used to provide efficient representations for both unknowns data, thus improving accuracy reliability technique. Furthermore, disconnected apertures dealt adopting different sets prolate spheroidal wave functions represent aperture fields. Experimental results reported assess effectiveness proposed approach. A drastic reduction (about 90%) required samples, as compared standard λ/4 measurements (λ being wavelength), observed. Aggregating surfaces, uses less even when case complex, λ/2 performed single surface. Our approach exhibits an comparable that achieved complex non-redundant sampling or classical, plane-rectangular NF–FF transformations.

Parametric analysis of a broadband Archimedean spiral antenna with cavity

In this article an Archimedean spiral antenna is designed and analyzed that has good operation in broadband application. By analyzing this design, the effects that different parameters have on antenna operation will be studied and ways of optimization will be found.  Influences of cavity height and number of turns to obtain good matching and gain in a frequency interval of 4 to 18 GHz will be d...

Tunable polarization response of a planar asymmetric-spiral infrared antenna.

We present measurements at 10.6 microm that demonstrate electronic tuning of the polarization response of asymmetric-spiral infrared antennas connected to Ni-NiO-Ni diodes. Continuous variation of the bias voltage applied to the diode results in a rotation of the principal axis of the polarization ellipse of the spiral antenna. A 90 degrees tuning range is measured for a bias voltage that varie...

A Nonredundant Near-Field to Far-Field Transformation with Spherical Spiral Scanning for Nonspherical Antennas

A fast and accurate near-field – far-field transformation technique with spherical spiral scanning tailored for nonspherical antennas, i.e., radiating systems with two dimensions very different from the third one, is developed in this paper. To this end, an antenna with one or two predominant dimensions (e.g., base station antennas and reflectarrays) is no longer considered as enclosed in a sph...

Application of the Global Optimization Approaches to Planar Near-Field Antenna Phaseless Measurements

This paper deals with a method of the radiation pattern determination of the directional antennas. The method combining both the functional minimization method and the Fourier iterative algorithm is based on the phaseless near-field measurement on two plane surfaces. The method is used for a reconstruction of the phase distribution on the aperture of the measured antenna, and for the determinat...
